I've just received a mailshot from my favourite 
Honda dealer. The Mugen is coming soon ... Increased power ... Increased torque ... Fully covered under manufacturers warranty.

I think I have the prototype!! I bought mine about 3 weeks ago, and it's history is as follows:-
02 MY registered Jan 02.
Owned from new by Honda Europe (Just got the V5, not that I did'nt trust the Sales bloke!!).
Used as Mugen Performance show car at the 2002 Motor Show.
Honda fitted Mugen Parts, including
Carbon Fibre Ram Air Induction Kit.
Exhaust Manifold.
Titanium Exhaust.
"Go-Faster" Mugen Equipped Stickers.
I've not driven it back to back with a standard SK2, so unfortunately cannot say what the difference is. It was just love at first sight!
Does sound awesome on full chat!

Add thermostat/thermoswitch/rad cap/ECU and then you're starting to get somewhere.
It'll be interesting to see the cost. There are probably several more powerful S2000's in the UK that won't have cost as much....

TDI will supply/fit Mugen parts to order, but as there are no prices I imagine they'll be pretty expensive

I don't now the cost, as the bits were fitted by Honda last year. I just got it, as is!
I'm just enjoying the driving, and sound experience of such an awesome car. It's probably the first car I've had which never has the radio switched on

I think I will return to get more info and see just what it is about (and possibly a test drive)
