I was reading about the Mugen bonnet today. Stock is 7.35Kg - Carbon is 4.5Kg from memory.

If you only want to save weight this is a lot of money for a small change. I could save that much by simply emptying the map books, Jessops catalogues, and fuel receipts from under the seats - let alone cleaning the mud and other crud from the carpets.

Nice bits of kit though! And the cooling benefits would be nice if you were in traffic a lot.

You'll get benefit from the cooling in "All" driving conditions not just in traffic, this especially applies if the car is modded.

euan,
cost for genuine is approx $2600.00 + shipping and duty

it does work.. it reduces weight, cools the engine bay, and provides some downforce (or reduces lift), what more do you want

It does

Although it has benefits, I do like the look of it. Very in your face and I'm sure not to many tastes but hey, I'd have one

if you want it to look nice..then I wouldn't bother...

if you want it to look more like a son of a bitch - boxster eater.. then a mugen bonnet is a good addition..
