Whilst this is never the most interesting topic on the forum. I too have to say that I am impressed with the MPG that you can achieve from the S. I got 35.2 out mine the other week. I was only doing a motorway trip, roof up, aircon off and doing about 65 -70 as I had my sleeping, young son on board. I was also fulley loaded up. I wasn't in a rush and didn't mind the trundle.

It's just a small 2 litre engine at the end of the day though, in a reasonably light car, and should be giving good mpg at normal rpm. I think some owners have it as a supercar in their minds?!

MPG? If you want fuel economy buy yourself a euro-box!

God knows what MPG I was returning over the moors this weekend, filled up a couple of times though.

Only got my s two weeks ago and I thought I could watch the fuel gauge dropping.
There is a reason the s revs to 9k and it ain't mpg its FUN.
