Default mounting tomtom one

I know there have been loads of threads on this but I have not found a definitive answer.

I am after a mount preferably with power but it would be ok if it didn't have to mount on the vent area. Can anyone recommend one thet is slim and sturdy?

These guys are well regarded http://www.brodit.com/ and do a mount plus charger that you can wire directly into the cars 12 volyt supply but they don't offer a vent mount as far as I can see.

Any suggestions?

I think someone on here has made a vent mount, but I can't remember who - they may be along soon though. . . .

I believe it was PhenomS2K who made a vent mount out of part of the windscreen bracket and some plastic tubing. There were some photos of it on here a while ago.

His was the original TT One, so if you have the new smaller model with the different mount it may not help you.

I considered that, the new tt1 is just about the perfect size and shape. The only problem is that it is not exactly eye level!

The other threads are here:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...&hl=tomtom+vent
but this is tt one mark 1 and is not a powered cradle

and this was phenom's https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...dpost&p=8054003
which was a modified original tomtom mount

I would really like it to be powered as the battery life in the new tomtom one is rubbish and the lighter socket is not exactly in a convenient location!.

I think I might buy one of these: http://www.brodit.com/images/215189.jpg

and try to bodge something...

Keep us posted on the cup holder mod!
