I don't recognize any of those pathetic people in that report. I've just been mulling this over. I joined in 1966, at which time nearly all the sgts inspectors and above were guys who had come out of the services after the war, sporting rows of campaign ribbons on their tunics to prove it. They brought a military discipline with them and you did NOT fook 'em about. How times have changed!!

I used to think plod were off doing other things instead of traffic policing that were not talked about. Mob or terrorists springs to mind.

Now I realise they probably ARE in the donut shop, scrutinising the Union rule book.

There is no point in winding up an individual officer, just because his opening line is ham-fisted. He is probably used to verbal and will just become vindictive.

His style may settle down a little and he may let you off. Of course, if the twerp pushes it, one may reconsider.

As for taking the licence from the old guy, that makes Sharia law look namby-pamby.

If the guy lost it because he is over 70 and needs to re-apply, that is a sad corollary.

If the majs deliberately took it, that is pure bastardy.

Many criminal chavs will drive w/o a licence anyway, so it is a stupid law to punish the otherwise law-abiding transgressor.

This country is FUBAR.
