Default MOT question

Is water in the headlamp a failure (headlamp works fine)?

Pete, it will only effect the MOT if the headlight pattern is incorrect, as the light shines you will only know when its MOT'ed unless you can ask them just to check the light before hand.

I just asked my brother in law as thsi is what he does for a living.

Pete,
If you open it to dry, stuff some silicone pellets in there it'll stop it collecting.

Think it's what the dealers are doing with the Type R lights, may be able to get some from them.

Think you mean "Silica Gel" a temporary fix at best.

someone has had a go at sealing the thing in the past - unsuccessfully

tbh, I'm not bothered about it - not least because

a) I rarely drive it at night
b) it works fine anyway
c) MOT passed

will go onto the list of things to be fixed/purchased 'if and when'
