Modified F20c Engine Builder UK

Thats not strictly true - old fashioned pot pistons in 2618 with huge expansion rates with lots of clearance to the bore might knock, but modern slipper pistons in a properly machined bore don't knock.
OP - I build these engines for a living and work closely with Clockwise Motion (who are absolutely the best in the business) so If you need any help drop me a line.

I wonder if that engine will ever get past just a pipe dream render, never seem to see any of it bar renders from years ago and nothing else.
And I do know someone that tried similar years ago and couldn't get it reliable - crank bearings end up too narrow to last...

Well, I've been having zero fun with any engine builders via email all summer, so I think I'll try some phone calls when I'm back off holiday. Meanwhile, Tegiwa has 3 brand new, fully assembled F20c blocks for sale, which is becoming increasingly tempting, given the lack of response from any engine builders.
I'd probably rebuild my head with new valve guides, springs, some aftermarket cams (or do that to another 2nd hand head and keep my engine whole for selling). Add some ITBs and scavenging midpipe and call it a day. Little bit of power, great noise, and a lifetime of miles left in it.

Hahaha!
I did see that, but I don't know them at all, so skipped over it.
