Not if you compare power to weight ratios.

And a Vortech may well get you to 911 territory

It's probably quite easy to get an S2000 to go as quick as a porker in a straight line, but is it quite so easy to get it sorted in other areas so it's as quick in the hands of your average driver? I suspect not.

911's vary so wildly in terms of their abilities it's impossible to say what you need to do. anywhere from about 200-340 bhp per ton.

so it depends what he's got as to whether you need a supercharger or just a new air filter

the new 911's are very very good.. the older ones are just as bad imo

Assuming it's a 996 or 997 model 911, your mate will have anywhere between 60 to 100 bhp more than your S2000. Short of bolting on a supercharger or a turbocharger, there's no way you'll get anywhere near making up that deficit.

The F20C engine is already pretty highly tuned. There are ways of tweaking it but they're all comparatively costly and don't release much extra power.

Forced induction gives the most bang-for-the-buck but it's not straightforward if you don't know a bit about the technical side of things - and in the case of a turbocharger, if you don't know a lot about the technical side of things!

Must admit the Honda brakes on my old car were superb. I drove dark blue marcs Honda s2000 a few weeks back and his were pretty bad , mine were awesome. I have cross drilled brakes all round on my porsche and big calipers and they are getting better but not as good as the Hondas
