My theory is some cars go through the following process:
a) Design an origami paper car.
b) Enlarge drawing from A4 paper and print on a large sheet of thin steel, in colour.
c) Cut out, bend and weld.
d) Sell as BMW Series 1, Hummer 2, VW Sharan etc
I am certain that if you look in the boot of some of the cars on the road you will find 'Tab A inderted in Slot K'.
