Misfire / Cutting out
Firstly, I HAVE READ THE FAQ's but it doesn't specifically mention cutting out on the relevant section.......
My car cut out several times this morning while idling and the tick over rpm wasn't stable. It was the first time I'd driven the car since it had a level 1 service on Monday, apart from the drive home from the garage (40 miles).
There was a bit of hessitation / misfire when cruising at about 50mph in 6th, but otherwise it drove fine - good acceleration etc.
I'll work through the suggestions on the FAQ, but is there anything that jumps out at people as the obvious thing to check first?
Any help gratefully received, as ever.........

if its stalling when you lift off it could be the idle control valve, its bolted to the side of the inlet manifold with 2 M6 bolts, disconnect the plug and remove the bolts then twist the metal part so the insides are facing up and spray a good dose of WD 40 in it then go and have a brew. clean it up and put it back together.
This is only for stalling it wont do jack for miss fires
