Any ideas on where to eat yet?

Now I don't know the area but a quick sprint down the A602 to Ware and the Feathers looks nice with plenty of parking ...

But I am sure there are plenty around Stevenage??

From my minimeet experiences, heres a warning to you all.

1. Do not wear ANYTHING with a large logo on that when photographed, could be subject to paintshop pro attention.

2. Also expect someone to turn up late and explain that a bunch of kids are jumping about on your S bonnets.....

There a couple of nice pubs in Graveley, there is another near Lister hospital, I think it is called George IV and that has quite a bit of parking and not normally too busy either. I havent been to any pubs in Knebworth so don't know what they are like. I guess we can always decide on the day, but there are quite alot we can pick from.

The Marquis Of Granby is near the Lister...but I wouldn't leave my car anywhere near there, or anywhere else in Stevenage for that matter.

There are a couple of pubs in Knebworth one of which, The Lytton Arms, is the most likely to be able to take a number of people for lunch at short notice.

The pub is only about 500 yards from the meeting place....but I was up at the park yesterday and the back gate was closed so it would still be a 10 minute drive to get there. (or 20 minutes if we went the twisy route)

There are a lot of very nice country pubs in the area, such as the Robin Hood and the Brocket Arms but these are small pubs and may not be able to cater for a large group.

Ah, I miss living in Knebworth!

I'm not bloody going, but I'd vote for The Lytton Arms any day, it's a great pub.

Best thing about living in Knebworth - Lytton Arms, Raja curry house on the High Street, plus 'Disc Emporium' - legendary LaserDisc and DVD importer also on the High Street - one of the best in the country. Well worth a look if you like your Region One discs.

Time to organise a Guildford mini-meet methinks....

See my 1st and 3rd post on this thread for location. It is just up the road from me so I will get there early.

My (PAYG) phone number is 07866 690 6347 (I think). I will take this along and if anyone gets lost or is running late they can give me a call.
