After Nezquick's thread about detailing I thought it would be rude not to gie my S a once over.

Washed using the 2 bucket method
Dried using a microfibre towel
Race Glaze 55 wax applied
Megs Last Touch QD wipe down
Tyres dressed with Poor Boys Trim Dressing

I hope you like it!

Just got to get her a new owner now!

Nick.

Looks great. Moonrock does scrub up very well. The new owner is going to be very lucky.

out of interest, what microfibre towel are you using?

Good work!

They really are fantastic and can dry 2 medium sized cars in one go. Much better than the waffle weave towel I had previously. don't forget, don'tuse any fabric conditioner when you wash it! It'll effect it's absorbency!

Looks fantastic! Very misceivious looking front bumper too. Is there a lot of advantage using these micro fibre towels Vs a decent chamois leather then? I only just treated my S to a £20 leather from Halfrauds but after reading posts on here think it's perhaps a little old fashioned to use them now?

Thank you!

MF towels are far superior to chamois leathers. With a MF towel the dirt/dust that is left on the car after washing is drawn into the centre of the towel, away from the paint surface. With a chamois lether you are effectively drawing the dirt/duct across the surface of the paint thus inducing marring. It's the same principle witha sponge vs. a wash mitt.

Also, It's a hell of a lot quicker drying a car with the MFtowel as you're not stopping to wring it out.

My advice, get one and don't look back!!

This is the one I got and, as you can see..."Nothing beats the soft, sensuous feel of top quality 100% chamois leather" ooer missus sounds a bit sexy doesn't it lol!?
Will give a microfibre one a go though to see the difference...Cheers!
