Edd of EddandSam fame were discussing this once in that on some cold dasy the gearbox can certainly take time to warm up and not feel so "thick". So if you are running the car a lot on small journeys this could become to feel the norm.

Take the car out for a long blast and its a dream.

Then again I am 900 miles of the 36K service and am gonna get the transmission fluid changed as well.

That's true - The car seems to run a lot freer & smoother after a long journey.

A lot of people think cars run better at night (presumably those of us without CAI's!).

That's a fact.....cooller and therefore denser the air = better combustion = more power

you know..I might be an anorak but I agree..sometimes this car runs like a 1985 Seat Ibiza...can't put my finger on it but it just doesn't sound right

prolly cos a lot of my journeys are short-doesn't get a proper run in
