More boost
I'm with Bibbs. I like the non linear power delivery, it emphasis the nature of the engine.
With this route I can do the mods at my own pace and develop the car myself bit by bit. That is not so straight forward with the Turbo.
I also find Sideways car in the US an inspiration.
My other concern with turbo is there is not a proven RHD kit available that has history on the forum or a vendor to support it in the UK
Having said that I did watch the video of that Aus turboed S, that was impressive!

Non linear - you mean linear Mikey?
What i'm saying is that you can get a turbo to give the same or very similar profile if you get the sizing right. Other than finding a manifold which fits i'd be keen, but im too poor

Turbo's can give similar power profiles to the SC. But they still have lag by their nature.
Yes it'll be quicker in a turbo, but after driving MR2's, Skylines, Supras etc, I still prefer the response of a big engined car (or a charged smaller engine).
If it was all about outright speed and power, I'd not have bought an S in the first place.

Turbos does not have lag problems like in the past, if you choose the right one for your engine. If you want 500 hp from a 2 L a big turbo is it a must but is not "the" turbo designed for a 2.0L so a lag will be present
While I had the turbo and the SC the turbo kick in before than the SC and makes a lot more torque

I'm not talking about "full spool by XXX rpm" .. I'm talking about hammering your foot into the carpet. There is not a direct comparison from throttle position to boost. It was always vague about how much power you where putting out when you moved your foot.
My old MR2 could have full boost by 2500 rpm. but there was always that half second delay between foot in carpet and hitting the full PSI (you'd get about 80% almost immediatly, but then the last 20% would spool slower). The MR2 had the same system as the GT4 with twin entry design, and short boost pipes to eliminate a lot of lag.

Juan, are you back to NA again? I think you've tried pretty much every combination
remember that you old mr2 had 8:1 compression and the S has 11:1 compression.
I do not think your old Mr2 came with a ball bearings turbo
