The US partners seem to believe that they have no problems with rain with the vents in the bonnet..

its def something I would like to do, however, my only issue would be with getting my air filter wet...something they don't seem to worry about!

Irvatron - that yellow one is a variation the the US DIY thread for a comptech supercahrgerd car it would work well as the air filter is directly below the first vent!. I've not done the brakes yet, hte OEM's are still going strong. Though I'm not a heavy braker.

Pie & Haroon

Kawa - I contemplated the stamping idea. It would need spraying after. The DIY route doesn't. Not sure on rain channels mine doesn't get left out in the rain

Mike, if you can afford it , a Mugen bonnet is the way forward

(..cue Mugen whore Adrian)

In the future you could easily dispose of it under a lease back scheme

Cool, any plans to upgrade any elements of the brakes?

I take it fitting just uprated pads will help fade thats all with stock calipers?

Cheers

Irvatron - already have RBF600 and braided hose though that is not so noticeable. Only future plans are DS2500 pads and stock disks

Just booked in to Garage R for its annual TLC and book stamp!
A bit of a trek, and the saving fro ma Honda dealer will be spent on fuel getting over the Pennines!

I know where there are 2 for sale. But it seems you can't afford either.
And the last one on Pistonheads you didn't go for either.

Mine will be on Pistonheads within 3 weeks. ( when back from US trip) If you are going to bite - you best do it quickly.

Actually - I might put it on over the weekend, and let the current Mrs Gaspode deal with it in my absence.

Mike, I'd go for some carbotechs, they really are much better.

I had some Carbotech pads. Panther Plus I think they were. They were very good at stopping, but I couldn't live with the noise and the dust which was extremely difficult to remove.

Are they worse than the DS2500's??

Bloody things chuck out more dust than an Icelandic volcano
