I have the fluid, porterfields and hoses. You can still cook your brakes.

I just want to see an s/c S in full flow

Went to System-R today and got the base line dyno done.
Surprisingly good at 243.4 BHP @ 8369 rpm.
More detail in my 2nd post of this thread

BBK are worthless.
You can save a *lot* of unsprung weight by changing the brakes.

Another advantage is that the disks cool a lot quicker than the OEM disks making them much better for track days as you don't have to wait so long for them to cool between runs.

I will be changing my rears as soon as a Wilwood kit becomes available.

Don't you mean :
244 bhp (calculated at the fly using smoke and mirrors)
188 whp (measured at the wheels)

steve.

Since discs are so big, that they are too cold for the brake pads and it does not reach their optimal temp level for braking.

Regarding saving unsprung weight is more important the wheel than the brakes, the more unsprung weight you save farther from the wheel hub better benefit you will have.

I will scan I test made by a magazine with a MX5 with sotck brakes vs BBK, after 20 braking test the stock brakes was still better than BBK

188bhp at the wheels is about right for a stock car.

Bloody hell........

Even mine didn't take this long

With regards to the brakes I'd always swear by a BBK(as long as its a quality one) after I took my AP's off I nearly crashed it straight into the first wall I came to stock S2000 brakes are PONY!!!

Andy
