Default MIJ exhausts

OK... I posted last week thinking of going for an Invidia exhaust, but I've decided to go with MIJ instead. I was very impressed with what they had to say, and I like the idea of tuning the exhaust to give the sort of sound I'm looking for.

I'm booked in to get it done next weekend. has anyone gone with MIJ recently? If so, can you give any advice as to the sound to go for, what to avoid, and anything I should ask them to do?

I love the sound with the airbox off, I'm keen to avoid a cruising speed drone, and I don't want ton hack off the neighbours with an overly deep sound at tickover. They;ve asked me to think about the volume I'd like to go for (you can choose from quiet (marginally louder than stock) to F*&^! loud. Hmm...

Any ideas???

I'm sure at least one person on here has an exhaust from them. They seemed very happy with it.

Their new unit is very impressive and they always seem busy, hich I assume is a good thing.

Look forward to seeing some pics when it is done.

There are several MIJ exhaust owners:

Look good value for money. I'd be interested to know the weight of the system (to make a comparison with the HKS which is the obvious alternative at this price point (although slightly more expensive)).

Plan is to keep the old one, perhaps for down the line when I sell the car. MIJ have assured me I'll be able to get it in the car, though I have my doubts... If not I'll pick it up a few weeks later in our other car.

I'll be sure to make a note of the specs of the new exhaust so I can let you all know what I've got on the car.

Not sure yet what sort of sound I'm after. Hopefully saying 'make it sound like a Carrera GT' will be all they need to hear.

If it's a stock exhaust, then no chance. You need a reasonably sized car to fit it in to as it's one piece, quite wide & long.
