Michelin now have a tyre for the S2000
Did a search for Michelin tyres last year, and Michelin's website came back that they didn't have anything that fitted the S.
Now, it seems they have Primacy HP tyres (summer ) which are suitable for the S in both 16 & 17 inch wheels.
Anyone running these?
Thoughts?
Primacy HP
205/55R16 91 W Front standard
225/50R16 92 W Rear standard
Primacy HP
215/45R17 87 W Front standard
245/40R17 91 W MO Rear standard

I've just bought some goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric, based on online reviews on mytyres. Getting them fitted this week.
In order of rating:
#1 EAGLE F1 Asymmetric (Also highest speed rating)
#2 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
#3 Bridgestone RE050
#4 Michelin Primacy HP

Used Michelins on the Impreza, found them to be the best.
They were no longer branded as Pilots though, even a couple years ago.
It was either Exalto or something else that I forget.
The Exaltos were soft but wear rate was not good, and excellent tyre though.

I've currently got Eagle F1's on the back of mine (S02's on the front) but have rejected them as, IMO, in 16" the sidewalls are too soft for the S and they make it unstable at speed. Thus, I am getting some RE050's put on this week, although TVR Cerbera's used to come with F1's in the same size as the S2000's in 16" as standard! I guess the S is just very, very sensitive.
Having said that, the F1's in 17" (as had on previous cars) and thus with a lower profile are a great tyre I reckon.

I would have thought the primacy's were a comfort tyre rather than a sports, used the pilot's on civics in the past and thought they were really good.

I don't know about the F1 having a softer sidewall than other tyres - I've heard it, but not from an authoritative source
and it has certainly never been quantified ime
the S is hardly heavy, and whilst it can corner impressively, I wonder if it could overwhelm that tyre laterally?
my M5 can't....
what I would say is that the F1 tyre is prone to tramlining
as for Michelin, I have always found their tyres to be very grippy, but very expensive and with bad wear rates
