Let me see if i can get details.

Ah yep, I remember those being mentioned.

Thing is that with the amount of disc cracking / warping going on with the S2000, I didn't fancy being a lab rat for those ones. With the Dixcels being track proven I was happy to go for reliability. I will weigh them but I can't see them being a huge amount more than an OEM disk? If so maybe half a kilo per corner at the most?

It might not be an issue with the s2000 ones so id be really interested in your weight measurements if you can get some.

As said i was really happy with the performacne of the dixcels, but neither i or the fitter could be lieve the weight. On the 350 they were a LOT heavier than OEM, maybe 30% extra over OEM.

I agree with the 2 piece ones i dont know if anyones had them yet, i might see if i can get a cheap set for testing!

I'm sure you will be happy with the dixcels anyhow, as i say the stopping and no fade was great.

Ok just been out for a proper thrash in the car - I bloody love it.

The power it has now is just superb (not due to the exhaust!) and the exhaust noise is just perfect. With the roof up you can hear the difference, but it's very subtle. With the roof down it's nice and loud, but a nice sound.

But back to the power, the ECU has made it a different car. It pulls really hard from 5000 now, but is also a lot more lively really low down. Obviously it pulls very hard once it's in VTEC and really flies now

Suspension has tranformed the car too and just needs a tweak to firm it up a bit, mainly at the rear where it's only set to 50% stiffness.

Very chuffed with the car and not far to go until it's finished

Keeper, hmmm

I was thinking the next subject is cooling. Something i've never really thought that much about.

So, talk to me about oil coolers and radiators And at what point they are needed for track use.

Off to Combe in a couple of weeks

Have you decided what tyres you are getting for track day (ab)use?

I'm looking into this ATM and I'm open to suggestions.

I've never tried R888 so might give them a go. Had a couple of sets of A048 on the Exige and they were great, and a lot of people rate them as better than the R888 - but who knows!

I'm a little worried about driving in the wet with them though...
