It's quite fun to feel the brakes getting better and better as they get hotter and hotter.

No different really. Maybe a little lax for the first gentle brake (usually from 25mph to 0 for me), but after that they do actually bite more sharply than standard.

Looking at those speakers, you might just get away with fitting them in the existing plastic baskets ..... or you might not

Will sound much better once installed

Thanks Simon.

UF, I bought some small MDF spacer rings just in case! Might need some advice on these crossover things and how to fit them in the door And then how to set the head unit up!

Fitting the crossovers in the doors is easy, assuming you've had the door cards off - you just shave off some of the styrofoam block on the doorcard and screw them to it - as long as they sit flush, they'll fit just fine.

Take the existing feed from the OEM harness ( make sure you check with is + and - ) and then wire that to the input on the crossover, then run the wires to the tweeter / midrange.

In each door;

Green/yellow = +
Green/Black = +

If you're never going to refit the original speakers, hack the plugs off and use nipples and cups connectors to attach new wires, if you're going to put them back in - hack them off but leave enough wire to reattach them

There is a hole in the doorskin that the wires for the window controls / doormirror switches come out of that you can run the wires through to the croosovers. The tweeters are fastened to the door cards in the OEM location and the wires can be attached and routed around the door cards to the tweeters.

PaulF / Lovegroova can also direct you on this and Lovegroova in particular is the man to chat to about HU setup

No - you don't want to get into trying to run new cables into the doors That's a pig of a job!

You use the wires from the midrange already in the car as the feed for the crossovers, the crossovers then feed the new tweeter and midrange.

The existing tweeter has a crappy crossover hardwired to the back of it to convert the full range signal it piggybacks off the existing midrange
