Chris, what I would give for a sequential shifter!
They're really not that expensive these days Mark.

You could quite easily spend the same money chasing small NA gains and Mugen show pieces (well almost ).

with Dixon, there are so many good engine builders in this country.

I'm not sure about the real cost of getting 280bhp out of an F20C but £20k would cover a similarly powered Ford Duratec, a sequential box AND the cost of fitting them into the wrong car.

thing is with ITB's is that they are very critical to length. get it wrong and you will lose power. the whole long vs short argument isn't quite correct. because the F20c revs very high the pulse wave moves to the next level so power can be gained by going longer to catch the next pulse area. iv'e read many threads about going longer and gaining power. the opposite of the rule of thumb long short argument.

i don't think there is quite enough room to get the inlet long enough on the S2000.

from the Jenvey web site

simple program to work out runner length for the rpm harmonics

not the be all and end all but somwhere to start.

Hi Ginge, will PM you. I need the front canister and the pipes which go upto the cooler.

Ox, I can lose weight in other areas and don't want to sacrifice the AC. Maybe one day I will go the next step and trailer it, but for now it needs to be able to drive across Europe, and that means I need AC.

Roof motors only weight a few Kg too, and a HT adss weight.

I have it all planned anyway, and will just update on here as and when.
63 lbs +- for the softtop + motors etc.

43 lbs +- for the hardtop.

Net savings 20 lbs +-
That's using a fully lined OEM, I would imagine a stripped out CF would save a few more lbs

the only reason AC is needed is because the exhaust runs under the drivers footwell and seat. insulate this and have some sort of cold air feed into the footwell and you wont need the AC.

aim for 1100KGS

You crack me up Mark with your constant modding/changing minds but hats off to you fella i like your style

Could we see a 270BHP n/a nutter?

I'd love you to try out some ITB's, the midrange will be awesome but understand where you are coming from.

What final drive are you going for?, a raised rev limit will offset it some what which is good.

Mark I can't believe your doing it again . Looking forward to the end result

Is it going to be a full on track car or a compromise like the last one?

What, you've done a sort of anti-Bozwell & dropped in an S800 lump?

You nutter!

I'd love to do it, Craig, if I could see a massive bhp gain, but it's just not significant enough on the S2000. I spoke to Toda about it a few weeks ago. I will be going for some Toda cams though
I think the weight saving route is going to be most beneficial, particularly unsprung I regularly ponder about carefully modifying an NSX but I have neither the time nor the money! However, stuck in a hospital bed, I can read your thread with interest

BTW, Aquilaeagle has my old FD (Kia 4.625) if you have any questions about it. I had it cryogenically treated, just to be on the safe side. PJL's diff was an identical build undertaken by the same chap in Redditch.

PJL's car became very hot indeed without AC - he solved this by a ram air feed on the hard top
