First trackday for the car yesterday, and after unfounded fears it would fall to bits, it ran like a dream!

I wasn't sure about the geo settings on the car as they were quite different from my last S, but Dixon has done a superb job. Maybe a little OTT for the road, but I did ask for pure track settings and it drove straight as you like on a nice surface

I think sticking a good set of coilovers, some Dixcels and some sticky tyres is all you need on these cars really.

Car sounds angry!

Did you try the car with and without the rear wing to see what difference it makes?

Raz, think it's a case of try harder I did a few purposeful bigger oversteers and it's very controllable.

Lofty, nope didn't have time really!

GoTuning - give Tommy a PM.
Not too expensive, but as usual the shipping and tax kills it a bit.

Just watched the video ( was that a Nissan Micra with a roof rack you overtook)

That car now looks and sounds the business, K&N intake sounds mental. Noticed you've got the same camera mount as mine I use a lightweight sony mini HD cam but still get a fair bit of shakyness when on the road, what are you using and is it just the smooth track that makes the difference.

performance wise how did it compare with the other guys in S2000s noticed you were behind the silverstone but also looked like you were well within limits and making space for Bat6 to sneak through.

Clive, have a look at the Anglesey Thread in the Meets section, there's a few more vids there, including one of me following MB (it was a Clio with a roof rack btw) https://www.s2ki.com/...st__p__20697516

I can confirm that on track settings, the ride in MBs car is most uncomfortable - you can see how stiff it is from my vid.

I guess/hope it's somewhat better on road settings.

Hi Clive, yep same mount. I use a Sony HD cam corder and always record it on solid state media. Never had a problem with any shaking on track.

Regarding the cars performance, the only S to pass me was a Rotrex one but I wasn't always out when others were. The silver one in the video is Dembo's. He was going very well as his AD08s aren't quite as sticky as my A048s, and I have a touch more power. Note he wasn't in sight at the start of the footage and was a good bit back by the end. Had to work hard to catch him! I don't like getting up peoples arses too much so backed off a few times.

Here's some slightly quicker laps and you can see how it catches the more standard car when there's no traffic. If you watch others' footage you can also see I can get a higher gear at a few points, I guess due to corner entry speed (tyres) and I have a bit more low down grunt.

Was doing around 1.53-1.55 accroding to the video footage, in the right hands or if I decided to really push it, it would go quicker.
