Default Mat Pegs...

I did try searching but didn't come up with much...

My 2005 has 2 pegs for the drivers mat.

I recently bought some Muz mats from someone on here and the mat only has 1 peg hole and it doesn't line up with either of the pegs in my car....

So when did they swap from 1 peg to 2 pegs and whats the best thing I can do to sort it?

Thanks,
Lee.

Take the two OEM pegs out.
Relocate one so it aligns with the Muz mat hole.
Honda have changed and moved the peg locations a couple of times.

Following picture (taken for another thread about cutting the carpet to fit pegs) shows the location of dealer fitted peg for the OEM mats. This is in the correct postion for my Muz mats

Mine didn't fit either.

Not practical to relocate the peg as the mat hole was about an inch and a half forward of the peg position so the peg would need to be screwed through the floor rather than the cross member

I ended up removing the peg and slipping the edge of the mat under the seat fixing.

It's been like this for a couple of years and has worked fine.

You dont need to refit it under the carpet for it to fit the Muz mat.
On all four of my S's I've simply screwed down to the cross member over the carpet. Drill a small pilot hole and use a self tapper. Leave the OEM plastic tabs in the cross member for when you sell the car and put the OEM mats back in.

You could contact Autostyle mats and get them to post you some of their mat holders. They simply pin to the carpet, then a separate piece screws into this.

I just got new eyelets put in mine - got a sailmaker to do it, but a tarpaulin place should be able to do it as well.
