Kelk - Blackjax comes with Clifford Concept alarms - you actually have to do this everytime to door is opened, so if someone pulls you out with the engine still running, the car will immobilise itself after a few hundred yards and set the alarm off.

There's also Cobra Connex and I-Mob systems that allow you to immobilise and do other things to the car with your mobile phone, and monitor it's location using a website. If I had a high-risk car like an Evo, Scooby or Skyline I would have one of these fitted.

I believe that there is a system called blackjack which is exactly this Tebs
You hide the buttons somewhere on the car and each tiume you start the ignition you tap in a button code / pattern.
If someone jacks your car they get to drive about 300 yds before it immobilises the engine IIRC

Wonder where about it actually was. I live in a so called 'posh' bit in south Manchester , Didsbury actually, and have never (touch wood) had any problems with any of my cars (more desirable ones include Elise, TVR cerbera, S2000, Caterham) for the 10 years I've lived here. And they've all either been parked on the road or on the drive.
Dont know anyone else who has suffered any major problems either. Dont think it sjust Manchester, probably happens everywhere.

I have a tracker system on the car, they need the keys to take the S, to avoid setting the system off. Do any other you other members use one?
The other thing is if they want the car, they will get it.

If you have something rare and valuable and it's targetted by professionals, it's likely they'll get it
But if you just have something more simply desirable to scumbags, there's a lot you can do to make things difficult/deter
These people are unlikely to have the time or resources to pick the ideal moment
My mistake was in assessing the level of risk wrongly and as a result, having quite inadequate safeguards
Now that I've reassessed and upgraded, I'm confident that any desirable cars won't go - and if they do, it won't be very far
Now I need to find some wood to touch......
