No. The only thing to perhaps consider is the ECU is obviously making adjustments for the fact that the filter is now drawing hot air from within the engine bay. The warmer air is also the reason for the slight loss of power.

It does sound pretty awesome though!

The power loss is pretty technical. You need Brian or someone to explain it, but I don't think it's across the entire power band anyway, I think it's either mid range or top end.

You obviously don't give s $hit anyway!

Airbox lid off gives the game away on how much throttle you are using to get past the car on your inside -

I think off-vtec it feels faster and more responsive, especially when cold - but maybe it's just a trick of the noise. I don't know why Honda did not play more with induction sound as it seems most drivers like it.
