Id love to refresh the engine, Ive no idea on where to get a top end engine rebuild done though!!
Why, does the engine need overhauling? Mine is on 118K and still going strong.

If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Spend it on Kiwis super charger!

There is a few unusual noises coming from the engine! Thats the main reason, she still pulls well though.

Could be valve clearances or TCT (timing chain tensioner), both pretty easy as I understand.

Well i have paid for a full honda service history since 3.5k miles. At 54k it started to develop what i would call valve train noise between 4-5krpm.

There is a little noise like pinking at low rpm when pulling away on the clutch.

Another sort of rattling noise is there about 1-3k rpm, but that could be non engine related.

What do valve clearance and TCT sound like?

Mines not far off that now, i do drive it conservatively though.

I had a dyno with a few minor mods made 190WHP.

I hope i dont jiinx it and it blows up now!

Theres a lot of info on the search mate

But i TCT is a metallic rattling which you can also hear on idling, coming from the oil filter area.

Valve clearances is more like a tappty tap! , but both sound similar esp if you have both at the same time lol

Bit of a waste replacing the clutch on the basis of trying to solve a noise
