I can't believe you, happy to whip out an engine but scared of a DA buffer Man, it's not that bad you will be using a Dual Action buffer which is a pretty safe tool. To give you an idea you will be removing damaged paint which will make up around 2% overall, just read the original post. If you are not comfortable with the tool start off on the Merc until you get the feel for it.
