Default Main dealer servicing...

Has anyone every got their car service by a main dealer and supplied them with oil to use in your car..??

Am contimplating weather or not to give them oil as i find the oil that the use is crap..(Found that out in a big way)..Since i put some magnetic oil in it, it hasnt used any oil and was going to give them some and ask them to use it...

Anyone ever done this...???What did that dealer say if anything..??

All the time. A LOT of people supply the oil for the servicing, myself included. Either because you want a different type or simply because you can by it for a lot less then they will charge you.

Dealers don't have an issue although if you gave them something that was clearly unsuitable I expect they would try to at least advise you of your mistake, you would hope!

Yep - all the time - when I remember to buy it first. IIRC it is cheaper to buy your own too.

This is one of the reasons I use Motul - it smells of bubble gum so you know if the buggers have used it or swiped it for themselves

Don't put it in the boot, they may claim the tech didn't know it was there, leave it in the front along with the filter you buy and the service book.
