I can't believe you don't need gloves. If you leave the car out - the gearstick is like an ice pop. Though I still would not swop it for the new leather/metal version. The Ti gear stick is simply too nice.
I got some leather driving gloves as a present and these give a much more secure feel on the steering. A few times before my hands have slipped.

I think the heat is worse than the cold, at least you can wrap up warm if it gets chilly - but I guess there should be a minimum set of clothes to be worn in summer. Nothing worse than high humidity - and leather seats.

I think the people from Sunglasses Hut steal mine - I'm on my fourth pair in as many years, I have gone for Ti ones from Silhouette to match the gear stick.
