I just cant understand why some of the speed camera revenue cant be redirected into providing a better transport system or is that too easy?

So what happens when the toll road gets busy. If there's a traffic jam think I'll be asking for my money back.

Like Doug above, I travel to and from Liverpool at least once a week and it will be very welcome. I couldn't care less how much it is because it is a business expense. I suspect, in personal usage I would pay only marginally more. But ... good value compared to the Severn Bridge at just under a fiver and the Mersey Tunnels at

This is a very good point as it will only be value for money if by paying the toll it allows you to travel more effeciently than by using other roads. Lets wait and see.
BTW is this road classed as a private road? I pressume if it is the owners will have to pay for policing it. Again if it is, who governs the speed limits etc, who gets the revenue from cameras/motoring fines etc?

Well I joined the M6 at Junction 10 at about 5.30 this evening and whilst the traffic was heavy it was flowing well in all lanes with noticeable large gaps. I've never seen the nearside lane so bereft of heavy lorries. I didn't even have to queue on the slip road..... unheard of!

Havign spent the past 18 months often stuck on the M6, I am looking forward to using the toll road and reducing my journey times.
