I'd suggest leaving a bit earlier
They are basically digital GATSOs so a double flash etc.
Where are you coming from?

Another suprise .... by trying to beat the speed limits and cameras you will not arrive at your destination by any margin that is of any consequence, just the nagging worry in the back of your mind that you might have been caught and a letter awaits you when you return home.
If the weather in nice, drop the roof, chill to some good music, and enjoy the smug satisfaction of watching everybody else zap by over the limit and getting all stressed as they drive against the clock, up each others arse and risking their licences and probably their jobs.

[QUOTE=B B,Oct 22 2010, 10:04 AM]Now this a novel idea but humour me ................... grow up and stick to the speed limit instead of all the faffing about trying to sidestep the law.

I often used to get the 4:30m ferry out of Dover. That time of the morning the M20 is a fabulous road, great visibility ahead and nice and smooth.. During the busy hours it's horrible

Thanks for the answers guys.
Just to clarify for all those speed activists, just because someone asks where speed cameras are doesn't instantly mean they want to travel at 120 mph everywhere!
I tend to cruise btw 80 and 90 which on a clear motorway i feel and a number of road experts would agree, is a safe and efficient speed however that is for another debate. The problem being that it will incurr points and a fine if you have your pic taken.
To imply i am going out to try and kill myself and others is a tad harsh! To reiterate, i only drive fast on clear, open roads as do most people who own sports cars like an S.

For motorway journeys, it's always worth figuring out how long things take.
From J1 of the M20 to Folkestone is about 50 miles.
That's 43 minutes at 70mph, or 33 minutes at 90mph. Is your timing really that tight?

Remember; any faster than 30 mph and you won't be able to breathe due to the air pressure
