Default LSD - affect on rear wheels when raised

Just had an MOT (passed phew )

My MOT guy, Ledge, was under the impression that when the car was jacked and you hand spin a back wheel, that the wheel on the other side should also move but mine was completely static??

Is that correct ??

Are you sure Ledge wasn't hallucinating?

That might be true if you had an LSD.

But you don't.

If it's wrong, mine is wrong also.

IIRC the diff only kicks in when load is put through it?

These are Torsen diffs arent they?

Correct! Being a torque sensing (Torsen) limited slip differential, it will only lock up under positive load. When there's no input from the transmission it will behave like a normal diff either spinning the other wheel in the opposing direction of spinning the prop shaft.

Hope that helps
