Default Lowering Springs

I've just had some Tein lowering springs fitted this afternoon.

Not quite the 30mm drop I was hoping for but I've been told the car will 'settle' on the springs over the next week or so and the ride height will drop accordingly. Is this right?

I assumed that the material properties of the spring won't change; set the springs for your desired ride height and it should be immediate.

Would it be necessary to get an alignment readjusted after they settle?

I'd guess re-alignment would be necessary.

I'd certainly get them rechecked

You've probably got the 'other' teins springs, IIRC there are 2 and one lowers more than the other.

Also it will probably only settle down by a very small amount, I didn't notice it much which my springs.

I was expecting an appx 25-30mm drop. The car looks almost exactly the same to me - maybe a fractional difference.
