Lowering Roof

Lowering Roof
Since fitting the Modifry roof fix a few weeks ago, it seems that the roof will not lower all of the way without a helping hand. i.e. making sure the glass is lying fully flat.
On further examination it appears that the glass screen is not seating correctly - anyone come across this before??

When the roof is cold it will not go all the way down. Could this be the problem.
Roadkill did a detailed post on this a number of years ago.

My current S has this problem in the cold, the other two glass screen ones didn't I know others have the problem as well.
I've found it will go down properly if I push the top edge of the glass down and back from just behind the secret compartment.

Please to see i'm not the only one with a problem... Yeah Mikey k, if i push just above the glass it folds flat...
Would love to leave the roof down all of the time but the S isn't garaged at the moment.

It usually does it in the winter because the vinyl is stiffer.
Also I found it creases more if left down.
My 2nd S was a GT that the first owner NEVER took the HT off in 2 years and boy was it creased when it did come off

run the heater for a few minutes and it will drop fully, even in the coldest weather
do not store top down without checking your insurance cover
most policies require the car roof to be up when it is unattended
