Default low oil pressure warning light

I have suddenly become aware that the oil pressure warning light doesn't go off for about 2 secs after I start the engine. Maybe I should of payed more attention to start with as I never realised it did that until recently?

Probably a stupid question but I've just got paranoid for some reason.

i check oil level every 2 weeks when it is stone cold. I usually have it 3/4 to max.

I usually start it on the flat and it happens if it is hot or cold.

Oil is the Castrol Honda uses (as they did my service).

You lot have made me even more paranoid my oil pump is on it's way out now

yes, I start the engine and after abotu 2 secs the light goes out. It doesn't come on when i'm driving.

This morning when I turned the engine on the light was on for abour 1 sec, flashed off and back on again for 1 sec, then went out again. Now I know that shouldn't happen

I would get it checked out if it was mine. If you lose oil pressure you have a farked engine.

Maybe someone can check the oil pressure?

Well it is a lot colder in the last few mornings.

What oil do you have in there?
