Default low fuel warning light??

Any of you guys had this prob.....Recently my low fuel warning light has started coming on prematurely, when i say this i have 3 bars left but the warning light ison. I booked it into the garage but the probelm didn't manifest itself prior to it going in so i cancelled it only to find today with 2bars left now it comes on!!

i do have to say though it is usually parked on a inclined slope on my driveway...do you think has something to do with it?? however i would expect that it should cancel itself after while on being flat road no......

any experiences?

cheers yat

I always found the fuel guage to be somewhat tempramental. It would sometimes come on with 3 bars left, sometimes 2, sometimes 1. I'd be panicking that I was about to run out of fuel and then fill up to find I could only get 40 litres in!!!

I used to drive of the trip computer, and try to fill up when I'd get to 200 miles, in the knowledge I'd have another 50 - 100 miles driving dependent on VTEC use!

with Rich. I've had the fuel light come on and still find that I could get only 40-42 litres into the tank (i.e. it was still 20-25% full) after much desperate crawling around at 30mph looking for filling stations, constantly in fear of the engine juddering to a halt........

Reset trip counter B to zero when you fill up. Assuming that you haven't been toeing it in VTEC all the time, start thinking about filling up when it gets to 200-220 miles.
