Default A little worn out bit in the hood

My 02 comes out of its warranty next month and is just in the stealers at the moment having a rusty inner boot and rusty locking wheel nuts sorted under warranty.

However I had noticed a few months ago a little wear mark that has recently developed into a little rip right at the bottom of the hood on the drivers side about 2-3 inches from the base of the drivers window where the hood pivots backwards.

The stealers have just phoned to inform me they have sent a pic off to Honda but are pretty confident it will be sorted under warranty. I have read a little bit on the forums about this but maybe worth while checking your hoods as it may be a common problem.

(a bit of a result getting a new hood right at the end of the warranty though)

Someone else (?) has just developed exactly the same!

Good result, but TBF, I reckon you should get nearer 5 years out of a well-tended rag roof.

I have had the car a year and to be honest when I got it I was not convinced the roof had been looked after as it looked quite faded.

When I get this new one I will love it and cherish it

I'll have to check mine - I am waiting for the dealer to get back to me on the following before my warranty runs out in September..

passenger window not dropping fully when hood switch operated
driver seat belt not retracting
rusty plate above radiator
corrosion on wheel centre caps

Euan - just getting my driver's window done under warranty (which runs out at end of this month!) Intermittently, when I held down the switch to close it, it rose to the top, then automatically dropped back down to half way. They've just told me the regulator will have to be replaced.

My seat belt also slack - didn't think that would be covered under warranty. Interested to hear how you get on, and also with the wheel caps - mine have v slight markings, but you hear some horror stories about S2000 wheels!

Other people have had these things sorted under warranty, so I'm not expecting any problems (if there are I will get kick some @ss ).

I've been told the hood thing needs a new controller (must be same thing as regulator), but had to be ordered.

I complained about the seatbelt before, and they told me to come back later when it was worse and they'd do it under warranty. Apparently you can clean it yourself, but why bother if Honda will fit a new one.
