I was very surprised early on Sunday morning on my way home from work when a Volvo S60 went past me, my immediate thought was nice one this could liven the journey home up a little but try as I might I could not get past this thing - went all the way to 143 (KPH) and he was still in front but he couldnt lose me either. I did have the hood down but even so i was very surprised as this is the first time that I havent been able to get past someone in the S. The A1 is a great place to be at 7am on a Sunday

Another Bimmer up for a play today.
Wasn't an M3, not even a 330 I don't think.
Possibly a 328, but he was well up for it from the moment I turned on to a stretch of straight, if somewhat undulating, country road.
Unfortunately, traffic coming in the opposite direction was at a standstill, and this column of traffic, narrow lane and idiotic motorcyclists who felt it necessary to come 3/4 of the way into my lane to overtake this column, made it impossible for me to get to the speeds I wanted to (all under the limit, of course!).
Anyway, he (sorta) kept up with me, but he was obviously prepared to take more risks then I was.
Still....nice enough guy, as he overtook me on the roundabout (my lane was standstill!), he braked suddenly beside me. I looked over and he had a huge grin on his face! Annoying to think he's gone around telling everyone he kept up with an S2000, but, hey........life's too short. Let him have a bit of joy today.
I waved back (nervously...wondering if it was an off duty copper, then thought better!!).
OK...so Bimmer drivers score a small point on my 'like 'em/hate 'em scale.
