Default Lexus SC430

I had a bit of a blast with a Lexus SC430 the other day.

He was cruising about on a freeway type road and I came up and overtook him, I wasn't going much faster, but he decides that it's obviously beneath him to be overtaken by a mere S2000 so he pulls out and goes right up my arse.

We then come across to a couple of nice large roundabouts that are linked by a short straight. Hehe... (I do these everynight on the way home)

I slow a little bit and just glide round them both with a little squirt in between, he is all over the place! I could hear his tyres protesting over the noise of the S. On the 2nd roundabout he's virtually sideways, only just holds it from losing it!

He then did what most of the idiots do here. He started cutting everyone up and crossing 3 lanes at a time to get in front of me. Twat!

The road has a speed limit of 120kph/75mph. I probably never went above 80mph or dropped below 65mph. I was just going about my business.

I suppose that's what you get if you buy a jellymould of a car.

Yep - definately a score for the Lexus marketeers.

For the money that you'd pay for one, there is some serious machinery about.

Good story, I had a similar experience with one of those big Volvo convertible things, he was not being aggressive I just think he thought I was in an MX5 or something and could kill me through a roundabout and then the dual carriageway afterwards.

He was understeering like a good un through the roundabout which I coasted through and then let him draw up close to me on the exit, then I gave it the loud pedal and was gone (really quite childish but very amusing).

I reckon most people have no idea what this car is or what it can do, all you can do is try to educate.

Even people carriers and 4x4s will(try to) race you

Not even good humoured stuff, like the Boxster story the other day.

More the bitter, twisted variety.

As you say, once beaten, they will resort to anything in an attempt to get in front.

the S does sometimes incite other drivers to road rage for no other reason that what i presume must be jealousy - i guess they must do this with other cool cars as well.

on the other hand lots of other drivers give the S openly admiring glances pointing it out to their passengers/driver etc - which is nice

it's always to have someone try it on and leave them for dust making them realise it's not actually an MX5 they're having a go with - as has been said though it does get seriously annoying when the other driver then resorts to driving like a twat to do anything to get in front of you

was sat beside one of these at the lights today on the way into work - i was one car behind it in the other lane so had a good view of it - it trult is a horrendous car to look at it - no idea what the lexus designers were thinking when they came up with this monstrosity - have you seen the wheels? truly horrible!

the colour of this one didn't help either - a sort of beige nightmare :shudder:
