This is a great car. Honestly.
If you love your S then this won't tempt you, however in a few years it might.
A good friend of mine also has a house in Arizona. He has this car in gold. To me, this sounded nuts, but when I got over there, all of the desert is a muted gold sort of colour so the car looks more of a silver.
My first impressions were that the car looked a little odd, sort of futuristic.
But jesus, it's a Bentley for Lexus money. The interior is excellent, beautiful soft leather and everything works so well.
Plus, the engine is fantastic, so smooth and fast and no way to discern the gear changes.
And, it's got the best damn ICE I've ever heard - from the high-end manufacturer Mark Levinson, the way the system EQ's the audio when the roof is down is unbelievable. Seriously.
We spent a whole day cruising the desert with a full load of CD's. It was the Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" that really stood out. This car sounds better than my system at home.
The car has different suspensions settings in the US than Europe.
I don't know what my next car will be after the S. I love the roof-down motoring and the VTEC engine, but one day in the future I'll make a change. For me, this car is on the list.
As I said, you may think this is crazy, but few cars ever felt so right to me as the S and also this.
