leather care
just bought myself some leather clean & conditioner, and on the back of the tin says do not use on perforated leather.
is this what it says on the back of your tins/bottles, and have you used it on perforated leather?

could be because you can get white crusty bits of dried leather cleaner in the the perforations. Mine looks like its got white speckles all over it, I used autoglum.
I've used a soft brush and a pin to get the worse bits out.
If I use any such products now I apply the stuff to a moist cleaning cloth and work it into the cleaning cloth first.

I use Gliptone cleaner then conditioner and get the same the result some holes filled in. It's worth going over with a toothpick after a couple of days, I find leaving it a while some of conditioner soaks in anyway.

I used some Williams F1 Cleaner, no idea who it was made by, found it in the garage and it was pretty old, but brought the leather up a treat and brought the smell back too! Bonus.
No white bits either, woop woop!
