Default Leaks in the roof

Okay guys, i replaced my seals ages ago and i also rubbed them down with shinetsu grease .

But i still get the water dripping in, its mainly from the far corner (end of the seal) of the roof near the striker and from the middle section of the seal.

Now im thinking with new hardtop strikers will this really stop the leaks??? - my logic is its not quite tight enough but I'm probably wrong .

TBH i do get a wee bit of wind noise and and they do rattle a bit, but would this also stop the leaking???, i think (could be wrong) it gets into the rails from the wher the roof joins the top windscreen section.

Anyone put my mind at rest.

Cheers

If you need it a *bit* tighter .. get some windscreen washer hose (or aquarium hose) and slip it onto the roof catcher hooks.

Thanks Ben , Yeah i was looking at those threads good idea, i believe it will stop the rattle but it might make the roof slacker at the joint and perhaps let more water in??? - i dont know

Another possible fix I saw on the US forum - take off the striker plate and add some washers between them and the body.
Makes the clamps tighter so pulls down on the seals harder.
