Default Lead times - grrr!

I've been quoted three to SEVEN weeks lead time from Tokyo for my Mugen exhaust!

I'm only 1 1/2 weeks in, 5 1/2 to go........

Is it always like that?

I ordered through TDI, was quoted upto 8 weeks...... waited 5 months and it still didn't show up.

Gave up in the end cancelled the order.

Not sure if it was Mugen or TDI to blame.

When ordering from a distributor or importer in the UK you are usually waiting on their next container load coming over.

If you order direct from Japan where they have them in stock and they ship it individually it would probably be much quicker.

I'm going to Japan in April, shall I bring something back?

First you let me down by not having any grills available, now you're rubbing the exhaust delay in by tormenting me with pics of yours - what have I done to deserve this?!

...and you've got an s/c and I want one!

...and where did you get that spoiler, it's very nice.

So cancelling my D2M order and going thru TK seems a no-brainer.

Anyone agree/disagree?

Exhausts are expensive to ship ...... then you need to add VAT & Duty to the cost of the exhaust and the shipping.
