Loads of stories, and thats without even mentioning the race (which we crept through a dense forest at 2am to watch whilst avoiding the marshalls )
We did that for the final qualifying on Thursday.

Absolutely brilliant.

Fantastic car to go to Le Mans in, as you say, very spiritual indeed.

I think we passed you between Le Mans and Alencon on the way back up.

Were you in semi-convoy with another old car?

We gave you a toot and got an ahhh-ooooo-gaaaaah back.

That was us

Fabulous journeys.....we had no official 'friends' but picked up loads during the trips, an old Roller of similar vintage (he was too slow for us ), a Maserati and a load of Caterhams who were really helpful when we hit the Peage (toll booth)...we had to jump a huge queue because it was so hot that the Bentley would have overheated...

What a trip

There where a fair few S's there this year - it was only us lot last year, but I sae 2 in Houx, 1 in Karting Nord, 3 in Beausejour(not in our group) and a few at the meet on Friday, and one in Cherbourg yesterday!

Good turn out!! How hot though???? 36 degrees in the grandstand at the finish on Sunday - I was forced to retire to the bar shortly after that!

Top trip as always!!!!!

And I made it back in a TVR Tuscan, where last year my S broke down!!!! How odd it that!

Anyone else have 5 rozzers on bikes chasing their s2000 doing 140mph??

Managed to negotiate my fine down to 90 euros could have been alot worse as my mate in his Europa was caught at 165 mph and received 500 euros and a 50 day ban applicable in Britain

Not sure if denying I had my license with me will avoid action later but what the hey.

What happened to the good old days when you said you were English and they just fecked off?

You were lucky...the fine in Arnage was 800 Euros but then that was for wheelspinning TVR's down the high street. 3 of them were done at the same time.

The crowd loved it but not once all weekend did I see a Gendarme smile.

Miserable gits....mind you, I expect they only joined up for the uniform

800 Euro's each? In Arnage? God they have got strict!!!

There were a few on Friday when we were there, and I might have done a we one

Last year I did a rather large 20foot-er and was duly pounced upon by two gendarms on bikes - 45 Euro's later and I was a happy man!
