Default Lake District - weather report

Question is, which? I am seeing reports of bad weather and am holiday there for a week this Friday. The wife is doing a lot of tut tutting with sharp intakes of breath when I suggest the S2000. She wants me to drive the accord .

Local knowledge please

Have you also asked on the Accord forum, just to get an unbiased answer?

We are coming from the soft south and staying in the area for a week. We were going to drive around the area, so what are the roads like at the moment? The forecast is pretty shitty but as we booked ages ago, it is too late to pull out now.

They'd probably say S2000 anyway

Yes, denohue, I read remember reading this the first time around - a good read. I have driven my S in the snow for short periods but this is slightly different. If I lived in the area, a play in the snow would be a must. It's not predominantly a driving hol though, it's also a sight seeing thing and the wife is not keen on the S in the snow. What is Kirkstone Pass like at the moment?

I am keen to take the S so need somebody to tell me all roads are clear without any fingers crossed.
