Lack of tweeters! How to improve sound?

High Frequency sounds are directional where as low frequency aren't. It won't matter how expensive/good your speakers are if the high frequency sounds are being fired into your footwell/passengers legs. The only way to get over the issue you are having IMO is to fit separate tweeters.

At the end of the day it all depends on how much of an issue it is for you...and I guess how often you have a passenger in the car.

You could always get your passengers to put there feet up on the dash!!

I didn't want my tweeters on the tops of my doors so I've put mine here...









This fires the high frequencies straight into your face.

That look perfect Coxy, just what I need. Doesnt sound too toppy like that does it? Shouldnt do as I have 2 x subs under seats i spose?

Or you could source door cards from a later model S2000. Dead easy to swop over and then you have all the fittings you need.

I've got small speakers mounted in the headrest grills, works a treat.
I stole the idea from shopman - seach for his thread.

Makes a massive difference to the sound and I've still got the stock door speakers (which really need replacing as the p/side on is half-blown)
