Default Kiwi S enthuiast just moved to London!

Hey guys, I'm a kiwi based in London (docklands area) just moved over for 2 years from New Zealand to work in London and to travel (O.E). I wouldn't mind meeting up with some fellow like minded s2k enthusiasts in the London area if there's a meet or similar on in future flick me a PM

Damn I miss my S already which is in storage back home...its going to suck not having a car for the next two years!

A pic of my Silverstone Ap1 recently before I left her

Morning, how do? And welcome

It's a shame you didn't post earlier as there was a meet last night in Surrey which is one of the closer meets to you. There are regular monthly meets in Herts, Surrey and the Milton Keynes area, just check the meets section here for dates and locations. There are also a number of special events (Silverstone Classic, Super Car Event) and some ad hoc stuff as well as drive outs (pax rides are usually on offer).

I guess essex would perhaps be your nearest meet.

Nothing seems to be happening this month so PM 'chippo' and he'll let you know whats going on.

Fancy getting yourself a S whilst you're over here ?.There are some pretty cheap examples around.

Moving, now this is really S2000 related.

Road tax varies according to age, see here http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/advice...er-1999/17892/

Your biggest cost will be insurance - get some quotes before taking things any further.

Try here http://www.confused.com/
To get an idea to start with, and then ask Sky Insurance for a quote - you can find them in the traders section.

No idea about exporting, though I suspect the harder part of the equation will be getting it into NZ rather than out of the UK.

I reckon getting the insurance could be a real pain as you haven't been resident for x amount of years and had your UK license etc

I've been here 4yrs now and have my full EU license for 14yrs now but of course only a UK license for 4 and Sky and many others still won't insure me or come up with redicilously high quotes, even though I've managed to transfer my no claims bonus from Holland so have 9yrs ncb.
