Kenwood Speakers
Sorry to raise yet another car audio thread but when I went into my local car audio dealers/installers to ask about a pair of Kenwood speakers for the Lucid panels I will be ordering their comment was "what do you want those for".
Their recommendation would be to go for a set of Alpines.
Would it make any difference as most people seem to have gone with the Kenwoods and Lucid panels

One word of warning here - the size of the magnets on the rear of the speakers is critical, too large and they will not fit in the tight gap behind the panels. Lucid has to pick and choose which speakers to offer based on this constraint, if you do go for another selection be sure to get a test fitting before handing over your readies

I've got the Kenwood dual mags in my self-made rear panels.
They are so light!
The depth is key. They aren't the best sounding speakers but you just need something to add a bit of rear sound fill so you can hear the stereo with the top down.
They do that just fine, but can't handle much bass.
I have had to play around with the filters on my head unit to cut the bass to the in-car speakers and compensate with the sub.
Without the sub or a head unit that allows you individual front/rear bass control, you might be limited on how far you can turn them up though.
