Let them say it's a hair-dresser's car!

I did with the guys I work with, then when one of them was following me......... I toasted him! (he had a Boxter..... and he called ME a hairdresser!)

What's worse........? Driving a hairdresser's car or being unable to keep up with one!

After that the comments I got were somewhat different!

I hope your an excellent driver because the boxster, even in 2.7 guise isnt exactly slow and in fact the latest 2.9 model is faster than your S and will be a match for you round the twisties, unless the driver cant drive for sh1t.

And you'd certainly be the under dog against a Boxster S.

Willy waving

Consult this site http://www.letstorquebhp.com/rwd.asp - in 'theory/perfect conditions' but its quite accurate and closer than you think an S versus boxster 2.7/variants of boxster, Boxster S is faster .

Heres the theory specs of my car which has most bolts on's and final drive plus weight drop, the figures not taking into account final drive i'd imagine to be accurate in this calculator, except with my final drive i can only hit 59mph in 2nd thus a slower 0-60 but faster afterwards from a start.

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 256
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1220
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 213.20
0 - 60 (Secs) : 5.22
0 - 100 (Secs) : 12.89
60 - 100 (Secs) : 7.67
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.57
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 102.58
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.47
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 103.75

IME no idea because I've never had 'a go' with a boxster before.
