I'm afraid it does very little for me, looks-wise. I appreciate that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I really don't think you could call the 350Z a pretty car.
Is this just a desire for a change, Rich? Surely with the ATR and the S you get the best of both worlds - a sensible tin-top motorway muncher with a bit of poke under your right foot, and a fun soft-top for weekends or when not going quite so far on business?
I've not driven a 350Z so I can't comment on whether the driving experience would outweigh my reservations about the styling, but I think it would have an uphill struggle to convince me.

Saw one at work this week. Nice but wheels are too small. Parked my S up next to it and thought mine looked meaner and leaner. I don't think the 350Z is worth changing S for. I would get a Boxster S instead.

I don't like the look of it myself, it's a lot of car for the money though. The 3.5l will be easy to mod for big power as well. One other down side is the weight, it's a right fatty at 1545kg. Its also got a big fat arse The S is 300kgs lighter, that's got to help the handling.

I take delivery of my 350Z in the second week of December (original quoted delivery was March 2004 when I ordered at the end of October).
So I need to sell my S2000 (advertised in Mikerich's thread) or I am going to have to part ex!
Please contact me with offers!

Okay, I lose the soft top, but in my opinion I gain a lot more out of the 350Z in terms of sports car grunt.
Plus a Nissan garage has just told me that they have a red with the GT pack and upgraded alloys ready for delivery on Dec 12th, which happens to be my birthday, so I'm taking that as a sign from the big guy.

Also what about the residuals on the nissan always been a problem, plus you would have to tell everybody in the pub you drive a 350 because if you say a nissan they will smile at you nicely!!! (Beware the sales men i know how they are thinking!!!!!)

I have to think, that you might think you have more grunt ,but the weight you carry will soon be apparent !!!

I think the residual hit won't be that bad, much like the original S2000, limited numbers coming into the UK may help to hold prices up. Prehaps in three years with 45k miles I might be looking at high teens as a value, showing depreciation at around
